Survivor: Worlds Apart

Alright so the 30th season of Survivor.  I've seen them all.  And I believe I've missed an episode or three, but mostly, seen it all.

Survivor: Worlds Apart pits the "White Collar" versus the "Blue Collar" versus the "No Collar".  Probsty says it's a good season, but he always says that.  On the positive.....usually seasons which begin with 3 tribes, I end up liking. 

Premieres this next Wednesday night at 8/7 C, CBS on February 25th.  

Gonna watch?

Here are my totally random thoughts. Please excuse me if I don't remember names. - I'm getting too old to remember names. 


















The dude with the feathers in his hair (bird man) - WOW. A little obsessive IMO - But I think he makes a good asset to his tribe as he is a strong dude. 

Dude who ate a scorpion. WTF. If there were a brains tribe, I'm sure he wouldn't be on it. 

I don't like the girl that found the idol. - something about her that I can't put my finger on yet. 

I liked the girl that got voted out . Oh well, I'll completely forget her by mid season. 

Joaquin - or whatever his name is? I only remember his name cause my hubby and I had a discussion about  the pronunciation 0f his name and I probably still spelled it wrong. I like him too and I feel sorry for him that he lost his buddy. He will have to prove himself in order to find a way to "fit in". 

The good looking guy that "bird/feather man" was jealous of - I like him.    

There is a young cute girl on that same tribe (No collar) that I like too. 

The big guy on the blue collar tribe, - yeah - he's gotta go for sure. Ugh. Annoying - I think he said he was a postal worker. Gotta be careful with those ya know, they go postal and what not.

Don't have an opinion on anyone else.

Wow......so last week, a surprising vote and one I thought would come back to bite White Collar in the ass, but apparently not!  And then now No Collar doing a very surprising vote!!  I don't think it was the best action to keep them out of TC, but I was happy to see it. 

Not a big fan of Vince anyway.  Unique, I'll give him that, kind of a poor-man's Coach.....equally as over-sensitive as Coach, too.  Not sad at all to see him go.  At first glances......I think this is going to be another pretty damn good season eh!? 

Is Survivor in a new genesis?  As much as I loathe Probst, he seemed to understand that seeing the same damn players again & again, gets old.  Brand new casts, almost always, are better.  There have been good returning-player seasons, sure, but I prefer when everyone is new.  It's the most authentic game you can get.

I was glad to see that dude leave tonight. Totally jealous. Not mature at all, at least, emotionally. 

Still want to see the postal worker leave.

And the deaf girl. No offense to deaf people but she sucks imo.

OH i also like another dude, on the White collar tribe. Tyler? Taylor? Something like that. I don't remember. Dude who didn't want to look at half naked chick. And OMG about that, wtf. Bitch put your clothes on no one wants to look at that. .....

People are crazy for being naked everywhere! Hehe Amanda you are right, who wants to see all of that?

It's also disrespectful imo, it makes others feel awkward and uncomfortable. It can also hurt your own game play, people can easily change their opinions of someone who does such a thing. I'm not a fan of that sort of thing.

Awwww Amanda and Shanna, don't be too crazy now.  I mean I agree, I don't want to see all of my tribe mates naked, probably not any of them, unless some chick was super hot and even then, maybe not in the context of the game. Depends on just what she's showing, and how much and all lol.  

But I'd look at some ugly naked people, for $1,000,000.  Of course....there's no guarantee you will win even if you had to see that.......

It's tragic that Vince went home so early, that dude was gonna be great TV.

Can't disagree there Kyle. I wasn't a fan of Vince, but I think it's fairly obvious they made the wrong decision getting rid of him. And I would have kept Nina over Will.  Nina might be super thankful and doesn't have a great game, so she might be very loyal. Will is a tricky wild card no matter how you slice it, plus he's worse in challenges than Nina.  

No Collars don't know what the hell is up. That's the point. lol

I liked Vince a lot! Agree with Kyle that I am sure Jeff Probst and the producers were pissed to see him go that early as hes good for TV!!  I can see what you are saying Henry and I won't say you are wrong, but Nina was nothing special in competitions either......

UURRAAAAGGGHHH.

The Survivor powers to be, the producers, Probst, etc.....over-thought themselves.  For the first time I believe maybe EVER, we had three almost equally-matched tribes. And then they go and swap up the tribes, one gets all the muscle, and the other gets all the chicks.  Would it not be more unexpected NOT to swap up the tribes?  I'd like to see that.  Nagarote's only shot, is if Escameca turns on themselves and throws a challenge.

Didn't care for Vince. Sorry *shrug*

When it came down to Nina vs Will, I would have gotten rid of Nina. Simply cause I don't think I would be able to deal with her if I were out there. The constant "im deaf, guys, include me wha wha wha"... would have gotten old really fast. She didn't want to go swimming with the girls, she wouldn't eat whatever they were eating that one time, and she simply didn't fit in with the "free spirit, go with the flow" tribe. 

Lindsey vs Rodney 
Rodney's comments weren't offensive to me. And even if they had been, if I were out there, I wouldn't have made a big deal about it like Lindsey did. I didn't like her, and I was kind of glad to see her leave. 

BAM Tribe switch. That one tribe is unlucky to have not gotten any real strength to their tribe.

 I am not really sure why they chose to get rid of Max over that annoying girl who's voice is irritating but, whatever, they both sucked imo. 

The girl who wouldn't eat a chicken, I am starting to like her. It's in her commentary, ya know, one on one with the cameras, she makes me chuckle sometimes.

It's also weird, to know so much about survivor .... like really, that dude knows how many LEOS won for crying out loud. lol

I admit that I was kind of bummed at who was voted out but the alternative was someone else that I liked AND .... it screwed up Rod's plans. Amusing.

Yeah, I mean seeing Joaq go, for some reason didn't make me happy. I mean he's kind of an idiot, but I for some odd reason didn't mind him so much.  I dislike Rodney a lot more than I did Joaq, that's for sure. 

This next week is when all the shit will hit the fan, so guess we'll all see how every thing shakes out. Also I heard a rumor that Survivor is going to Cambodia for the next 2 seasons!?  That'd be AWESOME. They definitely need to go to a place that either they've never been, or one that is not like any of the places they've been recently.

Rod doesn't really bother me... but ,he is such a loose cannon that I think it's funny his plans just went to shit. He's all mad now that his other blue people went behind his back .....can't wait to see the shit hit the fan. I hope for epicness. I have found it hard to find any .. ONE person to really root for. I like Joe, I like a couple of the girls but I  need to have that one person to root for or else I fear the season will fall flat for me.

Really liked the merge episode!  It was a savvy use of the HII, and they took out a huge threat in doing so, doesn't get much better than that.  But Will really showed his ass (no surprise) and obviously Carolyn really calls the shots between she and Tyler, I think Tyler might be wise to either disentangle himself from Carolyn, or convince her to go HIS way, and not the reverse.  I already liked Jenn, and now I do even moreso.

Woooo, I mean this season hasn't been spectacular but it hasn't been bad either!  I mean this isn't my favorite cast, but it is a good cast, one that harkens back to some of the earlier seasons where they really did get a cross section of America.  BTW....that tribe name....I am not saying being patriotic is a bad thing, not at all, but that name -.-  -groan-

I agree that was a great episode!  I <3 Jenn I think the most of all any way so that makes it even sweeter.  Kelly seemed like a threat. I didnt mind her but I am happy to see her go since it would have been Jenn otherwise

Well.....last week's episode was good, but this weeks pretty much sucked. Not surprisingly, if Probst is saying this is a great season, I'm going to disagree.  Not that this one SUCKS....but it's nothing special and he keeps saying its like "soooo goood". I mean the hidden immunity played at the right time, is always good. But I think we've got another episode or 2 of boring activity until people start making real moves.

That sucked.  Knew it was coming but it still sucks. can Dan PLEASE go home yet? He isn't going to make the final tribal council is he???? I hope not 

I'd remind everyone, feel free to post any thoughts about Survivor this season, any at all!

Agreed, Shanna, it was coming, no way around it.  If you're a young physically fit guy, you've either got to be super charming, or play with complete idiots so that you aren't seen as a huge threat. Kicking butt in every challenge doesn't do that.

It's unfortunate that "doing your best" and everyone seeing that you're trying your hardest, is rarely the easiest road to winning Survivor.  It's worked a few times, but, just a few.

He was the biggest threat. I would have voted him out probably if i were out there as well, UNLESS he was like my final 2 partner. lol Just too much of an IC threat.. unfortunately, he was the ONLY one I really liked. I have found it hard to find people to root for.

I guess I like the dude that won the IC last night but, what's he done this season for me to like him? Not a damn thing really. So can I say i really like him?  not really.
