new job Empty
PostSubject: new job   new job EmptySat Aug 02, 2014 3:58 am

I finally did it. I found a new job. I have been searching for a while.
Gone on several interviews, even cancelled a couple, but found one I think I will like more than the one I have now. And it pays a tiny bit more. Probably eat those extra funds up in gas as it is a bit further from my house. What was a 4 minute drive to work is now going to be a 20 minute drive. But honestly, I haven't paid for my gas in my car since I got it in April. My father in law fills it up every Saturday for me. What a nice person Smile

My job became too much. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT every single day that I actually suffered from heat exhaustion in June. I can't take it anymore. I haven't been able to take it for a while now, I don't know how I managed 10 months. I can't enjoy my time off because I'm TOO FREAKING EXHAUSTED EVERY SINGLE DAY. My days off all i want to do is sleep. Sad.

I filled out all the new hire paper work, submitted my payroll info, put in a two week notice at my current job, and am waiting for a start date. I told them Id be able to start on August 13th. I really prefer to start on the 19th. (my birthday is the 12th and im going to NIN on the 17th).
I took this job in place of my other job even knowing I might not have nights and weekends off anymore and that i might have to work holidays. But IDC, the work can't be as bad as where I am I now.

I am looking forward to the change. and hey, if i don't like it, i can always leave when i find something better  star

PostSubject: Re: new job   new job EmptySat Aug 02, 2014 4:05 am

After being a house wife for 10 years I needed a change. Retail was always kind to me in the late 90's. Having a part time job gets me out of the house and gives me money to blow on whatever without having to worry if I am spending bill money. I've been working since last October, I don't know how long I will want to work but I like having money.

My next big purchase is going to be a NEW PURSE!! Im buying myself a birthday present. I have saved a couple pay checks, and I think I have narrowed it down to two different purses. Both of them are a "Dooney and Bourke".

I bought a purse at my job a few months ago, it was a Jessica Simpson tote. I didn't really care that it had her name on it, the purse was SUPER cute.

I'm rambling at 4am in the morning, ....

SEEEEEE that is why ya'll shouldn't let me post LOL

I have nothing to say really,

other than HEY I got a new job, and I like shopping!
lol

Totally happy for you Amanda!  And I always want to let/see you post!  I don't hate shopping as much as some guys I know, though, I've learned there are definitely some women I CAN'T go shopping with.  Meaning, it'll be an all-day event, I'll be bedraggled, drug from store to store, place to place and by the end of it, I'll be done with shopping for like 6 months or more.

lol

I tend to know what i want or at least what stores I want to go to.
When I have money I usually end up at the Yankee candle store. Don't really have any idea what Im lookin for, I just walk in and look at the sale they have going on (always a sale) and then I pick out a basket full of goodies.

For example.... today, (I avoided the yankee store today)
The hubby and I went into Dillards. I wasn't buying anything BUT I wanted to look at their purses. I looked mainly at Fossil's and Dooney's. I spent maybe 10 minutes there.
Then I dragged my hubby down to the Fossil store. I mainly went in to exchange a necklace I purchased in June, a crystal fell out. But while I was there of course, looked at the purses, watches, charms, necklaces and bracelets. I probably was in there for 10 minutes. OH and wallets, can't forget wallets. I like wallets.

I'm sure it felt like an eternity to the hubs. He was such a good sport. We had to run into Target (we have a supertarget next to my neighborhood, we grocery shop there). But while I was there, I browsed nail polish, candles, wallets AND purses. I also looked at their mini fridges cause i want one for my room. Probably there for 10-15 minutes.

I love shopping, but i HATE shopping for clothes.
Hate it.
I hate dragging the hubby with me when Im clothes shopping.

I try to keep my nail polish browsing to a minimum. It's really hard though. I have a problem with nail polish and have over 100 bottles. LOL
A girl can never have too much nail polish (or watches, purses, shoes and rings) I could spend all day looking at and playing with nail polish.

My friend Cortney at work thinks I have a problem with candles. My yankee candle jar collection just keeps growing and growing. What do you do with 20 jars of candles?
I need special shelves just to hold all my polish and candles. It's ridic~

I dragged the hubby out again today. Poor baby.
We went to In and Out burger, out at Firewheel Mall, then I dragged him to the Yankee candle store where I bought 5 tarts (midnight jasmine, Coconut & Vanilla Bean, Sage & Citrus, Apple Pumpkin, Silver Birch) and another jar (Toasted Almond). Made him then go into Macy's with me. Their purse department was a freaking mess. Drove across town to another city, where the hubs went into Half Priced Books (he loves books) and I went next door to Charming Charlie. I bought some earrings and a bracelet.
Upon leaving there we went into Belk, so I could once again, look at purses. I had never been into Belk. It was a nice department store. Nice designer handbags. Impressed!!!
Good Day, it was a good day. Bout to settle in and watch BB. I think it's on now or is coming on soon.
