VGs: What'd you play last week? 11/29-12/5

I've played nothing but New Super Mario Bros. Wii for a couple weeks. It's just so good, and it's been drawn out in the best way, because I don't play it alone. I always play it with other people. I think my 3-player game is right about to finish the 6th world, and my 2-player game just started the 4th world. It's actually easier with three people. Two can be a pain in the ass!

What about you? What'd you play last week?

I've been trying to finish FallOut3 on the PS3 with Boyd. We have done all the misc. quests, now we are trying to finish the main mission. We are doing this run through with good karma. When we are done we will play with negative karma. hehe That will be funner, We will get to go around and KILL everything mwhahahahahahaha

I asked for these games for xmas:
Prototype
Infamous
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Gran Turismo: Prologue
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
Uncharted: Among Thieves

Ooooh, I wish I had a PS3, because I really want to play the Uncharted games, and INFamous looks really good! I'd also want the Ratchet & Clank games (*love*) and some other various things.

I asked for a couple games for Christmas, mostly for DS and Wii. I did ask for a random one though: Tomba! 2 for PS1. I have the first, and I absolutely love it. It went out of print really quickly and the company died after the second game, but they're soooo good. Hard to find. My brother dropped $50 on the first one for me one Christmas!

My PS1 still works, but my PS2 died. My favorite game for the PS1 is called Darkstone. Its a stupid game really, but, I run around as a Monk and get to kill things and use magic, lol

How were the controls for the game? Did you use the analog sticks, or was this pre-DualShock?

I havent ever played it on the PC but it was originally a PC game that was adapted for the PS1. I dont know what controllers are used for the PC game. Not a clue, Never played a game on any of my PC's before.

Im going to start playing dungeon and dragons online soon though with my cousin. I told her Id set up an account, it's free to play. I dont know anything about playing games online. Completely lost... to be honest.

Play the Xenosaga series. It's a PS2 game, but does that translate to being able to work with PS3? I really never understood how that all works, but that Xenosaga series is the best story I've ever seen in any media, and great game to boot!

I haven't played and video games in a long while myself though.

The new PS3's will not let you play your PS2 games on the system however, I bought my PS3 several years ago, and mine will let me play PS2 games on it. Im very picky about video games, I like things like Tomb Raider, Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid.... I also like car games like, Gran Turismo.

ERGH. This pisses me off so much. I want a PS3, but I want it to play my PS2 games. I still have my PS2, but it'd be so much easier for one console to just do all of it.

I dont know where I read that but I read it somewhere....I got my PS3 when they were still 500 bucks.

I have a ps3 that isn't backwards compatible with ps2, which really sucks. With the slim ps3 they completely removed the ability to update the system with firmwire to play the games so now it will never play them. Mine can play a total of like 5 ps2 games and thats it, and none of them I own nor do I want them so it doesn't matter.

currently I haven't been playing any games, too busy with graduating and planning stuff and preparing to write a book, plus other things lol.

I want to replay the Kingdom Hearts series as they are my favorite, plus been trying to beat The Darkness for the ps3 which is awesome. I want the New Super Mario Brothers Wii game which I have asked to get for Christmas, my mom has basically said it is a guarantee so that's good. :D

that's honestly all I can think of at this moment but those are definitely what I want the most.

If you get Smash Up, you're gonna have to tell me how it is. I'm so curious, but I don't know anyone who has it. Also, I have the first Kingdom Hearts game, but I haven't started it yet. Too much to play!!

Kingdom Hearts is a great game, as is Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories is good but not great, but it is worth playing.

Yeah Mandie, Silent Hill is really good. I got deep into the second one and just never went all the way with it, got lost in the prison somehow, and 3 I finished and liked a good bit. 4 was a different story that I just didn't get very far with, but plan to revisit.

But yeah, definately any PS2 owner, or PS2 compatible PS3 owner get the Xenosaga series. Not to beat a dead dog, but seriously, best. lol.

All really fun awesome games.

In addition, I loved Darkstone, I played that game constantly but then I lost it so I bought it for the Playstation and I couldn't play it for more than 5 minutes I just couldn't handle the controls, it's a game like Balder's Gate style so like, imagine what playing a game like that would be on a controller of any kind.
