This is my attempt at combining two styles of waffle, the Belgian and the Liege waffle. This likely going to be my first product of my home food business. They turned out pretty damn good if I do say so. The reason they look like they do is because before I closed the waffle iron on the batter, I sprinkled Sugar In The Raw on the batter so it would melt and caramelize, which it did, making for a texture that is both crunchy and chewy.

I don't think I've ever had a waffle... Pancakes/crumpets are the way to go here.

I didn't pass judgement, I just posted videos.
I may have actually had waffles before, but I can't be sure what kind they were. I will attempt to find/make waffles at some point in the near future.

My waffles got such good reviews, I went ahead and ordered three new waffle irons! I think I finally found what I will start out with, and now I am just about ready to start my business! *excited and nervous*
I feel so dorkish calling making a lot of waffles a business. Soon I hope to make a website too.

If anyone has ever been to the Netherlands, they have a treat called stroopwaffel. It's like a cookie sandwich, two little waffles and kinda like a maple filling in between. Sooooooooooooo good.
And I will be sending you my address to mail me some of those waffles, Rich....they look amazing! Who did you have try them?
