Someone sent me this in an e-mail:

A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge in California on Saturday when two cars crossing the bridge scared teh bear into jumping over the edge of the bridge. Somehow, the bear caught the ledge and pulled itself to safety:



Authorities decided nothing could be done immediately, so they returned the next morning to find the bear asleep on the ledge:



They attached a huge net to the underside of the bridge and tranquilized the bear, which caused it to fall into the net. After waking up, the bear was able to walk out of the net completely unharmed:









This story made me happy

That's so crazy.. whatever intrigues animals to come near loud noisy cities/traffic is beyond me.. you would think that would keep them away from ending up in dangerous situations like this one. But I'm glad in the end the bear is okay! I'm a huge animal lover <3
