I haaate when people text and drive while I'm their passenger. It makes me sooo nervous. One time, this friend of mine was driving, we were stopped at a light, and there were two passengers (including myself) in the car. She was texting, and she thought that a truck in front of her was beginning to go, but really, it was just moving up a bit (the light hadn't changed). She began to accelerate, nearly smashed full on into the truck in front of her, and both of us in the car screamed at her to stop, my other friend took her phone away, and we were like scared shitless the entire rest of the way home...

*grumble*

Like suddenly everyone in my family started talking about how terrible it was to text and drive because Oprah has a whole thing about it, she has a crusade against it.

My response: Really? You needed Oprah to tell you using your hands AND eyes to do something ELSE while driving was a bad idea? Whatever works. Just...whatever works.
