| I started watching this the other night, got about 30 minutes in, realized I had no idea what was going on, and ended up turning it off in favor of sleep...
Convince me to continue watching it.

| I hate the new Bond movies, so freakin' much. I try to like them, it doesn't happen. They're terrible. | |

| Whoa, Pete, I just realized that you said this was the only Bond movie you've seen. Is that right? Like none of the older ones? Goldfinger, Thunderball, Goldeneye? | |

| I've only ever seen this one as well, lol. And I didn't like it. Bond is a ridiculous unrealistic manwhore. I hate him. My dad made me watch this one, and I refused to watch another one after it.
Stupid Bond.
My mom agrees with me too, lol. She hates Bond for all the same reasons.

| Oh, he's totally unrealistic. He's about as bad, if not worse than Captain James Kirk. That's why I didn't used to like Bond, but I've since just gotten over it I guess, so I laugh at the absurdity of it all. Plus, I realize that I really enjoy critiquing things from a feminist standpoint, and holy shit, James Bond is one of the ultimate topics. | |

correct I haven't seen any others. I'm not sure if I even care to either. I've seen this one and liked it but not really interested in seeing any more

| This is like...staple movie-watching, even if they are riddled with absurdity and sexism, lol. Sean Connery as James Bond is something you must experience at least once. | |

| If you think it's bad for someone to have only seen one Bond movie, I s'ppose I won't tell you I've ever seen any Star Wars movies. Or LOTR. Or most things that people yell at me for not seeing. | |

| No, don't worry, Jess. There's plenty I haven't seen either. I just know Pete's really into film, so I guess I assumed he'd've seen some Bond stuff *shrug*
BUUUT, that being said, you probably should see the rest of the Star Wars movies...and you should definitely see the rest of the LotR movies.

| I used to hate space movies and thought Star Wars were horrible, then saw Episode 1 in theaters and really liked it and watched the others and liked them.
Everyone has their own opinions on things and that's good, just cause everyone says something is good doesn't mean you will like it (doesn't mean the movie is bad, just that it isn't something that doesn't fit what you like)
I am into film big time (went to school for it after-all lol) and there is a HUGE list of movies I've never seen that I have to see someday (like Gone With The Wind, Saving Private Ryan and Rocky Horror Picture Show, just to name a few)
Pretty much every week a new movie is added to the list. It would probably take me 5 years of watching nothing but movies to get through the list that I got so far, and it is always growing, plus I LOVE TV and wanna work in TV so got that to watch too, it's impossible for me lmao

| Episode 1 got you into Star Wars. That's amazing.
ANYWAY, yeah, it's hard to keep up. I keep a list of movies that come out so I can see all the ones that I want to, then eventually some will fall off the list because I lose interest or it gets deplorable reviews or even though I knew it would get deplorable reviews but still wanted to see it I just lose my fascination with whatever made me want to see it in the first place. There's still a few movies that came out last year that I haven't seen off my list. Most every older movie that I've wanted to see I've seen. I guess I can blame film school on that, it's kind of what you do for theory classes. It's so hard to keep up with. But that's the fun of it!
And you shouldn't see anything you absolutely don't want to, if only because the chance of you liking it are pretty slim to begin with, though some things do change your mind. The only thing I hate is people who don't watch things because they have no interest or 'know' they will hate it...but then will talk about how bad it is to other people that like it. I think that's silly. I will watch things that I know I won't like just so I will be able to talk about not liking it, HAHAHAHA!!! Like Twilight. But sometimes I will watch something that I know I won't like and I'll really enjoy it. The only thing that comes to mind right now where that happened was the new Star Trek movie.

| Just finished Casino Royale.
I did not enjoy this movie, lol.
I really wanted to; I really tried...I even made sure I watched it at a time I knew I wouldn't be distracted...and I still ended up distracted, because I was so disinterested in what was going on in the movie. With about twenty minutes left, I found a synopsis just to make sure I wasn't missing some enormous plot element, but sure enough, it was all there.
And the worst part is, there wasn't even anything bad enough for me to love it like the old movies. I'd say the only thing that came close was watching Daniel Craig chase Mollokal (or whatever the fuck his name was from the very beginning of the movie), because that scene was 1. just so ridiculous I loved it, and 2. Daniel Craig vs. parkour-magic is hysterical.
Have I mentioned I can't stand Daniel Craig's face?
